Privacy
Anonymous, limited analytics
Spellcaster uses Umami Cloud in production to understand ordinary traffic and whether the basic two-player flow works. Umami does not use analytics cookies, and this site does not enable session replay or assign an analytics identity.
What is measured
Page views use only a generalized route such as /room,
/join, or /help. Query strings, fragments,
room codes, and seat links are removed before analytics is sent.
Referrers are reduced to their origin. Umami also infers anonymous
traffic totals and coarse location, browser, operating-system, and
device information. According to Umami, the request IP address is
used for location inference but is not stored.
The only game events sent are:
room_createdroom_joinedduel_startedfirst_turn_completedduel_completedhelp_openedreconnect_succeeded
Only duel_completed has properties:
completion_type is normal or
surrender, and turn_count_bucket is a
coarse range.
What is never included
Analytics does not include player names, room codes, seat tokens, invitation links, gesture plans, spell or target choices, free-form text, or a player identifier. Browser Do Not Track is respected. Analytics is also completely absent in local development and whenever production configuration is disabled or incomplete.
